    Bagdad Roller Mills provides horse producers with two great lines of equine supplements to choose.  Kentucky Performance Products and Kentucky Equine Research (KER) offer products that will complete your athlete.  These products are not designed as a cure all supplement but as supplements to address specific issues.  Bagdad Roller Mills also carries equine de-wormers in several different forms, as well as mineral blocks designed and formulated specifically for equine needs.  Please stop in a take a look at these great products and feel free to contact us about any questions or concers that you might have.

Stable-lyx Equine supplement

  Stable-lyx products provide your equine livestock with everything that need for top performance, health and body condition in addition to regular forage and grain.  This product is very palatable and dissolves with licking ensuring consistent intake.  Everyone knows getting vitamins and mineral in horses is a difficult sometime expensive process.  The molasses-based low-moisture block ensures horses will visit it every day.    Provide one container for every three to twenty horses, consumption generally .25 to 3.0 pounds per head per day,  depends on the age, size and number of equine in field, as well as the quality and availability of forage or pasture.  

Kentucky Performance Products

      KER-A-FORM is a supplemental source of biotin, methionine, zinc, and iodine.  These ingredients are included at levels shown to be beneficial for growth and maintenance of healthy hooves and hair.  Lecithin, full-fat soybean meal and yeast culture provide a source of essential fatty acids and maximize absorption of nutrients.       

 

 

 

 

MYO-GUARD is a supplemental source of vitamin E and selenium for horses.  Myo-Guard is formulated for performance horses experiencing muscle soreness, stiffness, and exercise-associated myopathies such as tying-up.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

SUMMER GAMES ELECTROLYTE is a dietary electrolyte and trace mineral supplement for performance horses.  When performance horses sweat, they lose a significant amount of essential electrolytes (particularly sodium, chloride, and potassium) that are necessary for top performance.

 

 

 

 

 

 

EQUI-JEWEL High-Fat Stabilized Rice Bran supplement increases the energy density (calories per pound) of a horse ration.  It helps maintain weight on hard-to-keep horses and horses with increased energy demands, such as broodmares and heavily worked performance horses.

 

 

 

 

 

NEIGH-LOX designed to reduce the ill effects of performance and other stress on the stomach.  This product has been proven to neutralize excessive gastric acid and coats and protects mucosa from gastric acid irritation.  Neigh-lox is produced in a pellet formula so it is easy to feed and mixes well with your feed.

 

 

ENDUREXTRA is a high-energy supplement that is in a calorie-rich formula that allows producers to feed as little as 8 oz per day.  This is an excellent source of calories for senior horses on restricted diets.  Endurextra contains rice bran, omega-3 and vitamin E in the form of flax.

 

 

 

 

Kentucky Equine Research

EQUISHURE-Time-released Hindgut Buffer.  This product is designed to work as a hindgut buffer in horses that are fed high-grain diets or are on lush pasture.  These horses often suffer from hindgut acidosis which causes the Ph to fall too low in the colon and cecum.  Equishure helps for optimal digestion of nutrients in concentrates and forages, and increases the appetites of picky eaters.

 

 

B-QUIET PASTE/POWDER- This product is a magnesium and Thiamine supplement for horses that have reduced appetite, nervous, or hyperirritable.  A lack of these two minerals is common in horses that are hard-working or are being fed high-grain diets.  This product comes in both a paste and powder formulas that can be mixed into the feed or given straight to the horse. 

 

EO*3 Rich source of Omega-3 Fatty Acids-  sold in a liquid form that contains a omega-3 concentration of 35% more than common fat supplements.  This product also has positive effects on reproduction, bone development and different inflammatory conditions in horses.  EO*3 comes in a sweet cherry flavoring designed to improve consumption.    

 

 

 

 

RESTORE PASTE is designed to match what the horse sweats out during competition or daily work.  Restore provides your horse with the nutrients that they need to continue competing in top form.  Bagdad carries this product in paste form.

 

 

 

 

 

Equine De-wormers

          Bagdad Roller Mills works to anticipate and meet the needs of customers in every aspect of the industry.  This train of thought transfers to the health of the animals as well as their nutrition.  This is way Bagdad offers a variety of health products to help you keep a healthy herd.  De-worming horses is one task that never ends and constantly needs attention; Bagdad Roller Mills has several different de-worming agents for customers to choose.

Rotation 2- is used for the removal and control of mature infections of large strongyles, pin worms, and large roundworms in horses and ponies.  Rotation 2 is to be given as one oral dose of 3 milligrams pyrantel base per pound of body weight. 

 

Quest Plus Gel (Fort Dodge animal health) -designed for use in horses and ponies six months and older.  Quest Plus controls worms, bots, small strongyle larvae, and eggs plus Tapeworms.  Reduces eggs to minimize bioburden on pasture.  Quest Plus also comes in a Sure-Dial syringe that makes administration easy and is long acting protection in horses.  Each syringe treats a 1250 pound horse or more is weight is less.  Quest Plus suppresses strongyle egg production up to 84 days following a single dose, thus prolonging the reinfection time of the herd.

Ivermectin Paste 1.87%- this paste can be used in horses of all ages, including mares at any stage of pregnancy.  Stallions may be treated without adversely affecting their fertility.  Ivermectin Paste 1.87% removes worms and bots with a single does.  Contents will treat up to 1250 lbs of body weight. 

 Safe-guard Equi-bits equine dewormers (Intervet Schering-Plough-animal health)- Alfalfa based pellets that include a deworming agent that must be applied as a top dress, 1 pound of Equi-bits will treat a 1,000 pound horse.  Feed for one day as a top dress, at an interval of 6-8 weeks to prevent the possibility of reinfection.
