     Bagdad Roller Mills is committed to meeting not only your livestock’s nutritional needs but their mineral needs as well.  Minerals are essential to the appearance, production and reproduction of any animal.  Some of these minerals are not met though the forage in the field or are needed in higher amounts than what is provided in the feed.   Bagdad works hard to meet these needs with many different products, and is more than happy to help match your program with the mineral that suits your needs. 
 
Bagdad Premium Free Choice Mineral
   Bagdad Premium Free Choice Mineral is formulated for cattle in the Northern Central Kentucky Region based on the soil types to provide a complete mineral profile for the animals in this region.  Consumption of 2.6 ounces will provide 3 mg of selenium.  Salt and other mineral products should be removed to insure adequate intake, always provide adequate water and pasture forage.
 
Bagdad Hi-Mag Premium Free Choice Mineral
   Bagdad Hi-Mag Premium Free Choice Mineral is formulated for cattle in the Northern Central Kentucky Region based on the soil types to provide a complete mineral profile for the animals in this region.  This product has higher levels of Magnesium for spring feeding to help prevent grass tetany.  Consumption of 2.6 ounces will provide 3 mg of selenium.  Salt and other mineral products should be removed to insure adequate intake, always provide adequate water and pasture forage.
 
Purina Wind & Rain All Season 7.5 Comp. CTC 2800-MTH 95.2 
     Wind and Rain All Season is formulated for the control of bacterial pneumonia associated with shipping fever complex caused by Pasteurella Spp.  susceptible to Chlortetracycline in cattle.  Wind and Rain is also used to prevent the breeding of horn flies in the manure of treated cattle.  4 oz. per head per day provides 350 mg CTC per head per day.
 
Cargill Right Now Gold
    Cargill Right Now Gold is a High magnesium formula to help prevent grass tetany, usually used on pastures that are lush in wheat, oats, or ryegrass pasture, or any herd exposed to forage heavily fertilized with nitrogen.  Right Now Gold should be fed to beef cattle at a rate that does not exceed 3.5 ounces per head per day.    Right Now Gold should be fed in a dry wind/rain protected feeder with water provided at all times.
 
 
Cargill Right Now Onyx

  Cargill Right Now Onyx- is formulated with organic trace minerals to increase availability in challenging situations.  Stressed calves, cattle in AI and embryo transfer programs or any animals that are suffering mineral deficiencies that result from antagonisms.  The Onyx formula meets those needs with complex organic trace minerals that are more readily absorbed into the bloodstream.

 

Farmers Friend Medi-Pac Mineral Gard

    This mineral is formulated for increased rate of gain, improved feed efficiency, and reduction of liver condemnations due to liver abscesses in growing livestock over 400 pounds.  When feeding this mineral allow free- choice access to mineral and have fresh water available.  This product contains Copper and is not to be fed to sheep or other copper sensitive species.    

 

 Crystalyx Products

   Crystalyx supplements are low moisture blocks that provide essential proteins, fats, minerals vitamins and trace minerals that many livestock do not receive from forage based diets.  Crystalyx products are self limiting, weatherproof, labor-saving and a continuous nutrient delivery source.  By being a poured block or barrel, the livestock must lick the material and cannot bite, chew or over consume the product.  The licking action increases the saliva the animal produces and increases digestibility.  These products do not decrease in value due to rain/snow; animals are still able to receive all nutrients they need.    

 

20% Crystalyx HE Bio Barrel    

   Crystalyx Bio Barrel is biodegradable and energy efficient, made from a ground straw and soy flour container, livestock consumer the barrel as they consume the contents.  These barrels provide an easy way to check the mineral levels and there is little no clean up or hassle removing the tubs because they break down.  Used mostly during the summer months where rain and mud are not a major problem.  Bagdad carries the Bio Barrel in a HE-20% which is ideal for moderate-quality forages.  As with all Crystalyx products provide regular white salt in addition to these products.

 

Crystalyx 12% HE and Crystalyx 12% Super Mag

      This Crystalyx product is a 12% all-natural plant protein that is idea for moderate to high-quality forages.  These tubs provide additional crude protein to ensure that medium to low quality forages are totally digested and utilized for the animals benefit.  Crystalyx 12% Super Mag addresses all the problems for the spring and helps protects your livestock from Grass Tetany.  The Super Mag contains 12% all-natural plant protein and 4.4% Magnesium which is ideal for low-magnesium pastures, cool-season grasses and fall re-growth.  As with all Crystalyx products provide white salt free choice in additon to Crystalyx products. 

 Other Mineral and Salt Stocks

       Bagdad offers a variety of other minerals producers use in their herds.  These minerals are always in stock and ready to walk out the door with you.  Bagdad carries Plain white salt in both the 50 pound blocks and in 50 pound loose bags.  For equine owners Bagdad carries salt bricks for indoor uses.  Trace mineral goes hand in hand with the white salt and is available in loose, bricks and 50 pound blocks.
